Accounts and trade

No. Anyone can shop online or walk into our Hamilton showroom, no ABN required. If you're a regular trade buyer, setting up a Gold Membership gets you trade pricing, the ability to manage invoices online, and access to a dedicated account manager.
What is the difference between a Cash Account and a Trade Account?
A Cash Account means you pay at the time of purchase, credit card, bank transfer or physical cash. A Trade Account gives you approved 30-day credit terms, billed monthly. Trade accounts require an ABN and a credit application. If you're ordering frequently, a Trade Account keeps your cash flow cleaner.
How do I apply for 30-day trading terms?
You can also apply through our trade application form located at the bottom of the homepage. Subject to credit approval, we'll turn it around quickly.
Can multiple staff members access the same account?
Yes. Contact your account manager to set up multi-user access for your team. Each user can be given access to the account so they can place orders, view invoices, and track deliveries, useful for venues with a purchasing manager, head chef, and floor manager all ordering from the same account. You can also restrict users to purchasing specific items if required.
Can I create customised order forms for my venue?
Yes. Talk to your account manager about setting up a standing product list for your venue, regularly ordered lines, par levels, and preferred items all in one place. Makes reordering straight forward for your team.
Can I view previous orders and invoices online?
Once completely signed up as a Gold member and logged into your account you can view order history, invoices, and account statements. This will ensure easy re-ordering and advise product history.
Will I have a dedicated Account Manager?
Trade account customers are assigned a business development manager who knows your business, your regular lines, and your preferred brands. If you do not currently have an assigned BDM - give us a call on 1300 721 694 and we will assign one for you. For larger projects, fitouts, venue supply agreements, or if you just want someone to walk the kitchen with you, we can arrange a site visit.
Stock and products
What does the # mean at the end of the code?
We offer both 'in stock' items and items 'special order In'. This will be indicated in green above the add to cart button. If an item has a # at the end of the code it usually means that it will need to be ordered in as a special item and may take additional days to arrive.
How do I check stock availability?
Stock levels are displayed on each product page. If the item says "In stock" there are products available. If a product says "Special Order In" this means the items will need to be ordered and require 5 - 10 working days. This includes - products with a # at the end of the SKU are special order also (non-stocked).
Can you source products not listed on your website?
Yes. If you can't find what you need online, call 1300 721 694 or email us. We have access to a wide supplier network and can source equipment, spare parts, and specialist items not in our standard catalogue.

Quotes and pricing
Can I request a quotation before ordering?
Yes. Use the Request a Quote page, call 1300 721 694, or email us directly. For fit-out packages and large equipment orders, a formal quote is standard, bring your plans, menu, and a rough equipment wish list and we'll put it together for you.

Most standard item quotes are turned around same day or next business day. Fit-out quotes and large equipment packages take longer depending on complexity, typically 1-2 business days for a detailed scope. If something is urgent please advise when requesting a quote.
Do you offer volume discounts?
Yes. Volume pricing is available for large orders and for regular buyers on account. The more you consolidate through HSS, the sharper your pricing. Talk to your account manager.
Can you provide pricing for national or multi-site businesses?
Yes. We run equipment & small wares programs for multi-venue and franchise groups, agreed pricing across a standard equipment schedule, coordinated delivery interstate, and a single account for the lot. If you're expanding or rolling out a concept, talk to us early.
I've got a quote from another supplier, can you match it?
Send it over. We'll review the spec line by line, same brand, product code and specification, and match it. That's our Best Price Guarantee. Email info@hospitalitysuperstore.com.au or call 1300 721 694.
I'm opening a new venue soon, can you sharpen the price on what I'm buying today?
Our everyday prices already beat the major retailers, and we back that with our Best Price Guarantee. The bigger win is a supply agreement: contract pricing across everything you buy, one account for the lot. When the new venue firms up, bring us the full list.
Can I save money by consolidating my suppliers through HSS?
100% yes. Buying equipment, consumables, packaging, and chemicals through one account means one set of freight charges, one invoice, and one account manager across the lot. Send us a recent invoice from your current supplier and we'll go through it line by line, backed by our Best Price Guarantee.

Fit-outs and projects
Why should we trust you to design and build our kitchen properly?
Many venues come to us after being let down by poor design that looks good on paper but creates real‑world workflow and operational issues.
We design kitchens with function first. Our team understands hospitality operations, equipment, and service flow, so every layout is built to improve efficiency, staff movement, compliance, and long‑term performance.
Simply put, we design kitchens that work in service, not just in drawings.
Can HSS assist with new venue fit-outs, refurbishments and equipment upgrades?
Yes, end to end. We handle initial consultation, kitchen layout, 3D design renders (using Revit), equipment specification, project management, supply, delivery, installation, and commissioning. Our network of compliant, insured subcontractors covers electrical, plumbing, gas, and refrigeration. We manage local authority and council applications across Australia, coordinate compliance documentation, and provide a single point of contact from concept to handover. See our design and fit-out services page.
Can HSS manage a full commercial kitchen fitout?
Yes, end to end. Initial consultation (no charge), kitchen layout, 3D renders, equipment specification, supply, delivery, installation, and commissioning. Our network of compliant, insured subcontractors covers electrical, plumbing, gas, and refrigeration. One point of contact from concept to handover. See our design and fit-out services.
Can you work with our builder or shop fitter?
Yes. We work alongside builders, shop fitters, and architects daily. We can run the kitchen package end to end or supply directly into your existing trades program, whichever suits the project.
Do you work with hospitals, aged care, schools, mining camps and multi-site operators?
Yes. We supply and fit out healthcare, aged care, schools, universities, mining camps, and franchise or multi-site groups across Australia. We provide compliance documentation, spec sheets, and SDS/MSDS as required. For multi-site operators, we build one standard equipment schedule and roll it out site by site, same kit, same pricing, every time.
Can I book a demonstration to see catering equipment in action?
Yes you can. We have a purpose built kitchen designed to showcase the latest in equipment, innovation and catering equipment technology. Book a demo with us during opening hours and we will be happy to organise for you - 1300 721 694 . We also have ongoing demonstrations open to the public held fortnightly - check out our events calendar to learn more.
Buying advice
How long does a commercial fridge last?
A well-built commercial fridge should give you 7 to 10 years, often more, and preventative maintenance is what gets you there. The biggest killer is a neglected condenser: let it clog with dust and grease and the unit works harder, runs hotter and fails early, so a regular clean and a simple service schedule adds real years. Quality and duty rating matter too, so buy a unit matched to how hard you'll push it. This is where smarter refrigeration pays off. We supply SKOPE fridges with SKOPE Connect, which tracks how each unit is performing and flags when maintenance is due, so issues get caught before they turn into a breakdown or a fridge full of spoiled stock. Buy for your workload, stay ahead of maintenance, and it will earn its keep.
What's the best commercial dishwasher for a small cafe?
It depends on what you're washing and where it's going. For a small cafe an undercounter machine usually fits, and the first question is glasses or plates: a glasswasher runs gentler cycles for stemware, while a dishwasher handles crockery, cutlery and cookware. We stock Meiko, Washtech and Eswood across both. If glass clarity matters, ask about a machine with a reverse osmosis or demineralised rinse, which dries spot-free and polish-free so your team stops hand-polishing glassware. Tell us your space, your peak covers and whether it's mostly glass or dish, and we'll match the right unit.
How much does a commercial kitchen fitout cost?
There's no single figure, because it depends on the size of the space and how much you're building out, from a few key pieces through to a full stainless steel fit-out with benches, sinks, exhaust hoods and a planned layout. That's exactly the work we do. Send us your floor plan and equipment wish list, or have us come to site, and we'll design the layout and put together a proper quote rather than a guess. Getting the layout right early saves far more than it costs once you're trading.
What glassware do I need to open a bar?
It comes down to the kind of bar you're running. A high-volume pub needs tough, tempered glassware that survives a busy service and the glasswasher, while a cocktail or wine bar leans on finer stemware where the look, feel and clarity are part of the experience. Think about your covers, your price point and how the drinks should present, then build a core range from there: beer, wine, spirits, cocktail and water. We carry a wide range of glassware brands and styles to suit anything from a sports bar to a fine dining room, so bring us your drinks list and we'll put a glass range together.
Do I need a combi oven or a convection oven?
They do very different jobs. A convection oven uses fan-forced dry heat and is ideal for baking, roasting and everyday cooking. It's simpler to run and easier on the budget, and Turbofan is our go-to here. A combi oven adds steam to that convection heat, so one unit can roast, steam, bake, prove and reheat with far more control and consistency, which suits busier or more varied kitchens. It costs more and asks a bit more of the operator, and we stock Convotherm, Unox and Rational. Rule of thumb: convection for straight cooking and baking, combi when you want one machine to do the lot.
What size ice machine do I need for a 60-seat cafe?
As a rough guide, allow around 0.5 to 1kg of ice per seat per day, so a 60-seat cafe usually lands between 40 and 60kg a day. Push that higher if you sell a lot of iced coffee, smoothies or takeaway drinks, or if you're somewhere warm like Queensland where summer demand spikes. Check the storage bin too, not just the daily output, because a machine that makes plenty but holds little will run short at your lunch rush. Send us your covers and drinks mix and we'll size it properly.
