About the Project
St Joseph’s Nudgee College is one of Brisbane’s largest boarding schools — home to around 325 boarders plus day students, sporting fields, a poolside café and a conference centre that seats up to 2,500. Feeding a campus that size, every day and across multiple kitchens, takes equipment that holds up and a supplier who’s there the moment something needs replacing. That’s the role we play. Hospitality Superstore looks after Nudgee’s day-to-day catering needs right across the grounds — from the main kitchen to the boarding houses — and we’re there for the upgrades and replacements as they come up.

Solution
Our work with Nudgee runs across the whole campus:
Main Kitchen — With 325 boarders to feed, the team needed to prep ahead and cool food down safely and fast. We supplied a blast chiller that’s sped up their pre-preparation and taken real pressure off service. We’re now working with them on the fit-out of the upgraded main kitchen.
Tuckshop — We upgraded the dishwasher, added a dedicated pot washer and a new pass-through machine, and replaced a ten-year-old 10-tray Rational combi oven with a 20-tray — doubling capacity for the busiest counter on campus.
Boarding houses — Across four house kitchens, we replaced the fridges and toasters the students rely on day to day.
Conference centre — Seating up to 2,500, the centre had been hiring in glassware and plates for every event. We supplied enough glasses, plates and cutlery to cover it outright — plus the storage to keep it all organised — so the hire bills stop.
Bede’s Café (poolside) — Updated the under-counter dishwasher.
Sporting fields (the Flats) — New drinks fridges to keep cold stock flowing on game days.
It doesn’t stop at equipment, either — we also supply Nudgee’s printed coffee cups and napkins, and handle replacement gear as it’s needed. It’s an ongoing, day-to-day partnership, not a one-off fit-out.
